Creative Writing and Poetry for Children

Service Description

Does your child enjoy creative writing? Our small class will run separately to painting classes and focus on enhancing your child's individual and unique creative skills. Students will undertake different exercises each week to build their skills before putting them into practice. Languages devices, grammatical terms and vocabulary extension will also be provided. Whether your child comes with a project in mind or they don’t know where to start, we can guide them through the skills and techniques required to write in their own unique voice. This class is designed to meet the individual needs of participants. Susan and Sam will assess each student's skills to facilitate further development. We will also look at examples from well-known creative writers of various genres to identify the elements in their personal style that grabs and holds the attention of an audience. Each child will be free to choose an area of interest to focus on and we will work with them to create a personal portfolio of written work they will be proud of. Cancellation Policy If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Art Hub cancels a class, you will be notified asap. If you are unable to attend a class you have booked, if possible please let us know either 2 days before the scheduled date or the day before, to allow us to adjust staff numbers.

Cancellation Policy

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Art Hub cancels a class or workshop, you will be notified asap. If the cancellation relates to a workshop, an alternative new date may be offered to the same value of the workshop being cancelled. If we cannot accommodate a suitable date, a full refund will be issued. If you are unable to attend a class you have booked, if possible please let us know either 2 days before the scheduled date or the day before to allow us to adjust staff numbers.
